Aug. 29-Sept. 2
Monday: review for Focus On Geography test; begin defining terms associated with Louisiana geography

Tuesday: test on Focus on Geography; finish defining terms from MOnday; label map of Louisiana waterways

Wednesday: geography game "Mission Impossible" using terms covered in geography study; complete map and go over vocabulary

Thursday: go over waterways map; discuss boundaries of the state, bayous, lakes, canals, and regions

Friday: Daily SS quiz; review discussion from Thursday; begin answering study guide questions 1-7

Students will be working on map skills and geography throughout the week. Tuesday, they will have a vocabulary test on terms associated with their study of geography. No homework is planned at this time, except to study for vocabulary test.

6th Grade
Mon: Daily Geography test; finish video quiz from Friday and check
Tue: continue Chap. 20 by answering study guide questions for Lesson 2 (homework if necessary)
Wed/Thur: check/correct/discuss Lesson 2 questions (Chapter 20 will serve as the final exam)
Fri: video covering Vietnam; Awards Day

Mon: Final exams for Math & Language Arts (Socail Studies reveiw)
Tue: Final exams for Social Studies, English, & Elective
Wed: Final exams for Science & P.E.
Thur: make up tests ONLY - students do not have to come if they have taken all their finals

*Students with an A average for the year in each class will be exempt from final exams (I will post this on Wed. 18 in class)

7th Grade
Mon: Daily Geography quiz; review for chapter test
Tue: Chapter 17 test
Wed-Fri: answer and discuss study guide for Chapter 18 (this will be the final exam)

Mon: final exams for Math & Language Arts (Social Studies review)
Tue: final exams for Social Studies, English, & Elective
Wed: final exams for Science & P.E.

Tues: begin Chapter 20 study guide; students will answer Lesson 1 questions (homework if necessary)
Wed & Thur: check/correct Lesson 1 and discuss
Fri: video quiz covering WW II; begin answering Lesson 2 of study guide


7th Grade
Mon: students meet with counselors for next years scheduling (these should be covered by parents BEFORE student returns these - this is very important since this will go towards determining your childs classes for next year); answer Lesson 3 of Chapter 17 study guide (for class assignment grade)
Tues: check/correct Lesson 3 and discuss the events covered in this lesson
Wed: Lesson 4 of study guide - answer questions in class (for class assignment grade)
Thur: check/correct Lesson 4 and discuss
Fri: complete Lesson 5 of study guide (for class assignment grade)

**Parents - please make sure that your child completes the scheduling form being sent home on Monday and that you have seen and signed these so that the guidance department can begin working on schedules for next year; these are due as soon as possible - this will help your child's chances of getting into the elective they want (although it does not guarantee that)

Mon./Tues.: students will be in the library and computer lab completing a comparison worksheet between prices during the Great Depression and 2005
Wed: continue discussion of Chap. 19; highlight and review chapter material for test on Monday (5-9)
Thur: students will meet with counselors to discuss next year's schedules; review test material and take video quiz on World War I (time permitting)
Fri: 6th grade field trip


7th Grade

Tuesday: complete discussion of Chap. 7; highlight and review for tests (2) on the chapter; review for Daily Geography quiz
Wednesday: Daily Geography quiz; review for chapter tests; video on the Constitution
Thursday: chapter test #1 on material highlighted and reviewed from study guide
Friday: chapter test #2 on documents associated with the writing of the Constitution and the amendments to the Constitution as reviewed

*Thursday is the end of the 4th Six Weeks......only 3 more weeks until IOWA and LEAP tests (March 14-18)
