Great job 7th Grade Lady Colonel Basketball Team in Your Defeat of Ruston 32 - 30.
Leading Scorers were Savannah Dollar with 16 and Brooke Boney with 12. It was a great team effort by everyone.
8th Grade played hard. Keep up the good work. We are proud of you even in defeat.

Both 7th and 8th grade boys defeated Calhoun last night.
7th grade score was 32-19. Paul Turner led all players with 10 pts.

8th grade won 43-23. Wayne Hendricks scored 12 pts.
Colonels are at home this Thursday against Ruston.

WAY TO GO LADY COLONELS!
The Lady Colonels defeated Calhoun in both the 7th and 8th grade games.
7th Grade Score 39-27. Leading scorers were Savannah Dollar with 18 and Brooke Boney with 13.
Most Assists of the Night was Brooke Boney.

8th Grade Score 44-15. Leading scorer was Savannah Dollar.
Best Defensive Player of the Night - Kate Durham.

No Cross Country practice today.

All student athletes and coaches are invited to the banquet! Brooke Lassiter Stoehr, former Lady Techster Basketball player, is the guest speaker. FCA huddle members will be performing.

RED RIBBON WEEK ACTIVITIES
WEDNESDAY: TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS DAY. STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DRESS LIKE A FRIEND TO SHOW UNITY AND A TEAM EFFORT TO STOP DRUG USE.

THURSDAY: HAT DAY IN HONOR OF "HATS OFF FOR DRUGS".
THERE IS ONE STIPULATION FOR EACH STUDENT WANTING TO WEAR A HAT ON THURSDAY. YOU MUST BRING 5 CANNED FOOD ITEMS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN HAT DAY. BRING YOUR CANS TO YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER SO THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WEAR YOUR HAT. NO CANS.......NO HAT!!!!!!!! HATS MUST ALSO BE WORN IN THE CORRECT MANNER.

RED RIBBON WEEK!! REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR RED RIBBON ALL WEEK.

Soccer tryouts today!

Boys basketball tryouts Monday and Tuesday!
6th & 7th graders will tryout from 3-4:15. Have someone to pick you up at 4:30.
8th graders will tryout from 4:30 -5:45. Have someone to pick you up no later than 6:00 p.m. Monday will be the first cut and Tuesday will be the final cut.

Congratulations to our 7th/8th grade boys cross country team for winning 1st place in the meet Saturday at ULM. Congratulations, also to our 6th grade boys for placing 2nd.
Individual winners were:
7th/8th grade boys: Jake Elliott 2nd place, Matthew Wilson 6th place, Adam Saadat 10th place, and Levi Elliott 13th place.
6th grade boys: Ben Tuttle 5th place and Dillon Nelson 7th place.
6th grade girls: Katie Bryan 3rd place and Sarah Counts 4th place.
