Girls Soccer Team will work out Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Grade sheets due today at noon!

Be sure to get your group permission forms turned in to the counselors by Monday, October 6.

Catch That Colonel Spirit T-Shirts have been delayed one day. The shirts will be in tomorrow.

West Monroe High School is hosting a 50th anniversary and homecoming parade tonight at 6:30. The parade will begin at First Baptist Church and go down Trenton Street and N. 7th Street. It will end at the stadium for a pep rally. Good Hope cheerleaders and drill team will be a part of this celebration. Please come out and support.

National Honor Society Members: Tomorrow is the deadline to pay dues. Please take your dues to Mrs. Bayles in Room 131 by tomorrow @ 3:00 p.m.
Officer outlines are still available for any member who would like to run for officer.

Congratulations to the girls Cross Country team. They finished 4th overall and Tyleshia Outley finished 2nd overall at the Caney Creek Lake/Weston High School Classic.

Everyone is invited to attend the Colonel Choir Solo & Ensemble Recital tonight at 6:45 in the cafeteria. On Friday, choir members performed for a judge and received ratings. All 34 entries received a division 1 Superior rating or a Division 2 Excellent rating. Tonight, the contestants will perform and receive their trophies and certificates. Congratulations on your hard work!

Congratulations to the following Colonel Choir members on their selection to the 2003 Jr. High All State Choir. They will perform in Baton Rouge on November 1 with 150 singers from across the state.
The 7th and 8th grade Colonel Choir members chosen are: Mallory Debnam, Jordan Perdue, Mandy Smart, Rosa Rivas, Daniel Dupuy, Wesley Wheelis, Brandon Bowman, Jonathan Swafford, Daniel Zeagler, Dex Poindexter, Brandon Myers, Jacob McGowan and Shane Runnels. Way to go, Colonels!

Teachers - Angels of Mercy will host a Barbeque plate lunch fundraiser on Thursday Oct. 2, 2003. The plates will sell for $6.00 each. Orders of 10 or more are needed for delivery. There is a sign up sheet in the workroom.

Student Council Elections

Friday Sept. 26th Students will meet in gym to listen to speeches, then go back to that period class to vote. Teachers will tally votes.
6th grade - 5th period
7th grade - 6th period
8th grade - 7th period

Today is the last day for "Change the World" Campaign. If you have not already contributed, please do so today. If every Good Hope student and teacher dropped a quarter in, we would have $175 to contribute this Friday night at the West Monroe/Ruston football game. Remember, $100 will feed a senior citizen for a year.

The Lady Colonels soccer team would like to challenge all other teams, support groups, and organizations in the canned food drive. Canned goods are to be taken to the Rebel football game Friday night. Ask your sponsor or coach for more details.

National Honor Society Members
- All dues must be paid by Sept. 30th
- Pick up outline of officer requirements from Mrs. Bayles. Officers will be elected at the next meeting on Oct. 8th.
- Members who are visiting the nursing home this week must turn in permission slips to Mrs. Bayles by Wed. morning.



Please give all LEAP remediation permission slips to Mrs. Holzer.

Girls soccer will work out Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. If you are in Drill Team, Cheerleading, Band, of Pep Squad - - you will be excused from workout on Tuesday.

Don't forget to bring all your loose change to place in the waterjugs to help West Monroe High School and the Northeast Louisiana Food Bank fight hunger in Northeast Louisiana.

Send after school tutoring notes to Mrs. Holzer.

Teachers - don't forget about United Way. We want to have 100% participation.

Teachers - Professional Growth Plans due Friday.

We have a game Tuesday at Sterlington. The bus will leave at 5 p.m. and return at 7:45 p.m.

The winning ribbon # from yesterday's pep rally is 430. Please come by Mrs. Moody's room to collect your prize.

Today is the deadline for turning in forms for Student Council elections for all grades.
Remember, posters can be put up next week and speeches will be presented on Friday, Sept. 26.

7th and 8th grade colonel choir members need to come to the choir room to pick up uniforms.

Today is the last day to turn in "Catch That Colonel Spirit" T-Shirt orders and money. All money and orders need to be turned in to Mrs. Dean today!

All 6th graders interested in running for student council office need to turn in their intent forms no later than tomorrow.
