Good Hope Middle School Daily Announcements

8th grade girls interested in trying out for the WMHS softball team need to sign up in Ms. Dillingham's room today. Also, any softball player wanting to purchase a CD from the season should pay by Friday.

Tryouts for the WMHS Tennis Team for next year will be held at Kiroli Park from 3:30 - 4:30 on Tuesday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 12th.

6th grade students turn in your field trip money for Sci Port.

Cross Country Tryouts at WMHS today at 3:45 at the stadium.

WMHS Girls Basketball Tryouts will be held today at 4:00 at Westridge.

Thursday, May 6th the 8th grade boys basketball team will play the men in the Faculty game. Cost is $1.00.

Thursday, May 6th the 8th grade boys basketball team will play the men in the Faculty Game. Cost is $1.00.

Congratulations to the Select Choir on their Division I Superior ratings at the Big D Classic Festival in Dallas. They also received the "Best in Class" award which means they scored higher than any other middle school choir at the festival. Way to go, Colonels!

Colonel Choir will be selling giant cookies during lunch starting tomorrow. This is your last chance for those huge chocolate chips this year! Cookies are $1.00.

Any 6th or 7th grade girls interested in pep squad next year need to see Mrs. Dean or Mrs. Moody to receive a pep squad packet. Green forms need to be turned in to Mrs. Dean or the office beginning tomorrow - Friday, April 30.

REMINDER: 8th grade students going on the field trip need to be at school by 4:30 tomorrow morning. The buses will leave at 4:45am.
SCHOOL DRESS CODE WILL BE ENFORCED.

High School Girl's Basketball Tryouts will be Wednesday, May 5th at Westridge. They will begin at 4:00.

The ULM Lady Indian Basketball coaching staff will have summer camps on June 7-11 and June 21-25, 2004. Check in the office for a camp brochure or call Assistant Coach E.J. Ok at 342-5409.

National Honor students who are making ribbons for the induction should plan to stay after school on Wed. April 28th. Report to Mrs. Epp's room.
All NHS officers should plan to stay after school on Wed. April 28th until 3:45. You will meet in Mrs. Bayles's room. Officers are Elizabeth Ingram, Emily Bethea, Morgan Bivens, and Sadie Hillis.
All members - remember to bring teacher items for service points. Items are due by Fri. May 7th.

All 8th grade boys interested in trying out for the 9th grade basketball team at West Monroe High School need to be at Riser Middle today from 4-5:30 p.m.

Congratulations to the 8th grade band for a great job at the State Band Festival!! They received a Superior Rating on stage and a Superior Rating in Sightreading. Come by and see their trophy in the office. GREAT JOB BAND!!!!!

Remember, in order to tryout for cheerleader or dance team at Good Hope Middle you must participate in pep squad and/or band.

Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams for an outstanding season. At the final meet yesterday the 7th and 8th grade boys finished 3rd overall and the girls came in 4th overall.

All track team members need to have your uniforms turned in on later than Thursday.

Congratulations to the Good Hope Golf Team. The Colonels defeated Ouachita Junior High yesterday at Trenton Street Golf Course to finish the season with an undefeated record for the second straight year. The Colonels were led in yesterday's match by Jordan Sellar, Wesley Wheelis, and Grant Shepard. Other team members include Mario Wiley, Bradley Brown, and Jacob Williams.

Collect the money from your sponsors and turn it in as soon as possible. It will take several weeks for your prizes to come in. Thank you for supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I know the children will appreciate your efforts.

If you have any overdue library books or unpaid fines please clear this up before report cards are sent home on Thursday.
