Good Hope Middle School Daily Announcements
Thursday, 20 January 2005

GHMS is kicking off their fundraisers to raise money for Relay for Life, which will be April 22, 2005 at Ouachita Parish High School. Several fundraisers are scheduled for January - April for the students to participate and donate money for a great cause. Last year, GHMS exceeded their goal by raising $3,800.00!!! This year, we would like to exceed last year's total. You as a parent can help by purchasing an American Cancer Society moon in the main office for $1.00. These moons are an acknowledgement of someone you know who has battled and fought cancer or a remembrance of someone who has past away. You may also make a simple donation of $1.00 with your name. These will be placed for all of GHMS to see. Thank you for helping GHMS reach its goal. Your support is always appreciated!!

We want to congratulate one of our Good Hope Students, Hali Menzie, on playing a lead role in the West Monroe High play "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Former GHMS students, Kami Menzie and Dex Poindexter also are performing in the play. We are very proud of these talented students.

Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
Relay For Life reporsents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated. If you are interested in being on the Good Hope Middle School Relay for Life Team, please sign up in the work room by Wednesday, January 12.
