We are beginning a study of Government. Vocab. test Friday on Chapter 7-8.

Week of Oct. 10

8th grade Social Studies

We are beginning a study of Economics.

Wed. -Daily Social Studies Quiz #21-20. Students are able to use their Daily Social Studies on the quiz if all is completed.

Friday- Festival Day. Students will share their festival brochure with the class. Students are also invited to bring something to eat that characterizes Louisiana culture or a festival. This is not required, but would be appreciated by the class. Thank you.


7th Grade- American history

Tues.- TEST-
Chapter 6-The American Revolution

Wed.- Quiz on Daily Social Studies questions 1-10. Students are able to use their Daily Social Studies on the quiz if completed.

Friday- Test on Declaration of Independence

Sorry for the delay- internet was down yesterday.

8th grade Social Studies

This week students are doing a brochure on their assigned festival. It will be due Friday. We will have festival day sometime next week.

The Chapter test on La. Culture: Families and Festivals will be next week: Wed. or Thurs.


7th grade AMERICAN HISTORY

Students will have chapter 5 test on Wed. Thurs. and Friday we will be studying the American Revolution.

Week of Sept. 19th

8th grade Social Studies

Daily Social Studies Quiz#2- Tomorrow (Tues.) Students are allowed to use their Daily Social Studies on the quiz as long as it is completed #11-20.

Border Map test- THURS. This was scheduled for Tues.,but now has been moved to Thurs.

Vocab. test- Friday(Purple study guide- La.Culture:Families and Festivals.

Students will be given a list of festivals Wed. Friday they will pick which festival they want to do a brochure on in the library next week. They need to have their top 5 picked out.


AMERICAN HISTORY- 7th grade

MAP TEST- Tues. Study 13 colonies and cities for the test.

Students will begin a study of Chapter 5- The Road to Revolution.

Students are getting ready for their finals!! Test will be over the 20th century study guide.

Social Studies Final- Tuesday May 24th

Students are only exempt if they have an "A" average for the year or if they scored Mastery or Advanced in that subject.
