Math


11/1--Students will finish the test on Chapter 3. We will begin Lesson 9-1.

11/2--School is out for Election Day. Please get out and vote. It is your privilege.

11/3--Lesson 9-1 and try to begin Lesson 5-1.Students must be able to write the Rules of Divisibility. Homework will be a worksheet on the Rules of Divisibility.

11-4--We will continue with the Rules of Divisibility. We will begin on Lesson 5-2. Study the rules for a test.

11-5--Lesson 5-2 and begin Lesson 5-3. Study the rules of divisibility.

Science



11/1--We will finish up the Atmosphere /Weather/Climate.

11/2--Students are out for Election Day. Please get out and vote. It is our privilege.

11/3--11/5--We will begin our study of Ecosystems. Students will receive their new vocabulary words for this new chapter. Begin studying for a test next week.

Things to Remember:
Can Food Drive--Please send can foods so we can receive the Taco Bell Party.

Christmas Boxes for children in other countries.

Adopt a Family for Christmas. I will be sending you info on this later.

Yearbooks are on sale $30. The entire book is in color.

10/6--Workbook Page 33. Do 1-15, donot do 16, 17, 18, Do 19-24.

10/7--Review sheet for a test on Lessons 3-1, 3-2, 3-3,3-5.

10/8--Test on Lessons 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4.

We are having a timed multiplication test for this 6 weeks. We will have one test a week for the next 6 weeks. Your child has already brought home the first grade. I will count their highest grade out of the 6 tests. Many children donot know their facts and it keeps them from being able to do other math skills. Please be sure your child is studying their facts for these tests and for their success in math this year. Thank you in advance for all you do to help your child succeed. Sandy Ford

9/27--We took a vocabulary test on 8 words about Earthquakes and volcanoes. Homework is to study for a test Wednesday on Earthquakes and Volcanoes. You have a study guide to study.

9/28--We will review for a test on Earthquakes and Volcanoes. Study for test on Wednesday.

9/29--Test on Earthquakes and Volcanoes. Be sure you have your sheet where you drew and listed characteristics of the 3 types of Volcanoes.

9/30--Students will see a video on Earthquakes and Volcanoes. They will answer questions on video for a grade.

10/1--We will begin our study of Rocks.

Math


9/27--We will review in class on Chapter 2. Students will begin working on a review worksheet and finish this for homework. Study this worksheet for a test on Ch. 2 Tuesday, 9/28.

9/28--Students will be tested on Ch. 2. Study the review sheet given to you on Monday. We will finish the test on Wednesday if needed.

9/29--We will finish tests on Ch. 2. We will begin Lesson 3-1 on Decimal Notation.

9/30--We will do Lesson 3-1 in class. Homework will be workbook Page 31.
