Homework for Jan.20 - 23
Tuesday Jan. 20th -complete the two handouts you received in class today.
1. A Forced Move West
2. The ORegon Trail

Parents--
1. Students took an open study guide test today on Chapter 12. Study Guides were completed and reviewed on Jan. 15th.

2. Our next chapter (Ch.13) is on westward expanision.
Students will write paragraphs on each section of chapter 13 and then combine those paragraphs to create an essay on westward expansion. The essay will count as a test grade.

3. It is VERY important that students are in class all day so they do not miss class discussions.

4. Count down to state testing ---8 weeks to LEAP TEST

NOTE: Chapters 11 and 12 will be tested together next week!. Yes we are moving fast and will be as LEAP testing is only 10 weeks away. IT is very important that 8th graders be in school every day!!

Homework for week of Dec. 1-5

Mrs. Myshrall's HOMEROOOM:
We will collect items for the Salvation Stuff a
Stocking project so don't forget to bring in your
items by Dec. 12th. See the handout for specifics!

Monday Dec. 1st
1.Civics Booklets are due tommorrow
2. Study for tomorrows test on 16 vocabulary words.
3. Honors class will test on vocabulary plus
concepts we reviewed in class.

We will begin chapter 9 Tuesday.
We will read and complete guided reading questions on Chapter 9 for the rest of the week.
A Daily review of class lessons will help you be successful on MONDAYS (Dec. 8th) Test on Chapter 9.

1. Chapter 7 test is Thursday Nov. 13th...Begin
reviewing now!

2. Sketch of your display board is due
Wednesday Nov.12th. Remember if you are in a
group then everyones sketch should look alike.

The 8th grade Social Studies Fair is Thursday Nov. 20th.
Set up for the fair will be Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. More details will be given out in class.
