RED RIBBON WEEK - Next week we celebrate "Red Ribbon Week". Each day will be a different dress up day, along with other activities. Today, we will fill you in on the first two - in case you need
to do some planning over the weekend.

Monday will be "Hats off to being drug - free"
Tuesday will be "Pair up against drugs" - choose a friend and dress alike.

Your homeroom teachers will tell you more as the week progresses. Listen carefully to the announcements next week so you won't miss out on any activities. If we draw your name from the pledges, and you have your red ribbon or if you are dressed as requested for that day - you will win a prize.

Boys soccer practice will be after school on Monday. Practice will be over between 4:20 and 4:30.

Remember - DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS THIS WEEKEND SO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK!!!

Softball tryouts tomorrow at 9:00. Bring cleats if you have them and bring a glove.

Colonel Choir will hold a FREE carwash tomorrow in the Brookshire's parking lot from 10 - 3. Donations will be accepted, so help support our All State Choir members and bring us your dirty cars.

Tomorrow is 60's fashion day. The library invites all of our GHMS faculty and students to dress in your tie dye shirts, bell bottoms and flower power clothes. Students, be sure to watch for some famous celebrities. They will be sure to "get you, Babe".

National Honor Society Students - Our Nursing Home Supply Drive will continue through next Friday, Oct. 31st. This will help you earn service points for our end-of-year incentive and put a smile on the face of one of the Landmark residents. 8th graders take supplies to Mrs. Bayles. 7th graders take supplies to Mrs. Epps.

Remember Picture retakes will be tomorrow. You can pick up order form in the office. Bring your order and money to school Friday to give to the photographer. If you are taking pictures a second time, bring back original pictures in the envelope and see the photographer. All pictures must be in the envelope.

Congratulations to Tylesha Outley and Brentoya Williams. Tylesha placed 5th and Brentoya placed 9th in the cross country meet yesterday.

Colonel Choir will be selling giant cookies again at lunch. Get one before they sell out.

8th grade boys basketball tryouts today after school from 3 - 4:45. Have someone here to pick you up no later than 5:00.

Homeroom Teachers - Don't forget about the door decorating contest next week which will be judged on Tuesday. This is for Red Ribbon Week. The criteria for judging will be in your boxes by tomorrow. Good luck to all!!!!!!!!

Please come to the game tomorrow night to support your team, your band, and your spirit groups. And come hungry!!!!
