Good Hope Middle School Daily Announcements

The following students have been recognized for demonstrating excellent character under the character counts pillar of Trustworthiness.
6th grade - Dylan P. for returning a lost lunch box.
6th grade - Zach L. for finding and turning in a wallet with money in it.
7th grade - Kendra T. because she volunteers to help and she can be counted on to do anything asked.
8th grade - Matthew B. for finding and returning a watch to Cody D.
8th grade - Michael C. because he was honest and would not use answers written in his workbook because that would be cheating.

Pep Squad - Basketball game tonight 6 to 8 p.m. Merits will be given for attendance to this game.

Girl's soccer team will practice until 4:00 today.

Coach Creech would like to commend the 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams on a job well done last night in their victory over Ouachita. The hard work in practice paid off.
7th grade score 24-21
8th grade score 21- 9

Pep Squad - Last day to turn in "Avon" orders and money.

The Good Hope Talent Show will be held on Jan. 13th.
Auditions for the talent show will be Dec. 15th and 16th after school. Come by the Choir Room to get an information sheet and sign up for an audition time.

GO COLONELS!!!!!!!!!!! BEAT OUACHITA!!!!!!!!!


4-H Club meeting after school. Meeting will be over by 3:30.

Softball meeting has been changed to 9:00 Saturday instead of 10:00.

The Colonel Choir will be featured on Channel 8 Good Morning Arkla Miss tomorrow morning at 6:45.
They will perform a number from their musical "The Music man, Jr.". So, turn your TV on early and be sure to watch!

The girl's soccer team has no practice today.

4-H club will meet after school on Thursday. The meeting will be over by 3:30.

Pep Squad - Reminder: Short meeting (3-3:45) Thursday in Mrs. Dean's room. Please bring all "Avon" orders and money. Remember all checks need to be made out to Good Hope Middle.

Softball team meeting - Sat., Dec. 6 at 10:00 in the gym. Plan to stay about an hour and be prepared to take a picture. Wear cleats or tennis shoes.

NEWSLETTERS GO HOME THURSDAY!!!

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball team for their wins over Calhoun last night, with Shelby Aulds leading all scores. The Colonels play Ouachita Thursday.

PEP SQUAD - We have a very short meeting Thursday in Mrs. Dean's room from 3:00-3:45. You need to bring all "Avon" orders and money. Make sure all checks are made out to Good Hope Middle.

6th grade: Hannah Cowart for paying back a dollar that Ms. McGuffee loaned her for lunch.
6th grade: Brooke Rodgers for turning in to the office some money she found.
6th grade: Jordan Wiggins found money and turned it in.
7th grade: Nicky Rogers found money and turned it in.
8th grade: Josh Walker found money on the floor and turned it in to Mrs. Paul.

The Student Council would like to thank all of you who participated in the canned food drive and helped to make it a success. The 6th grade collected the most with 1,481 cans. The total amount collected for Good Hope was 3,250 cans.

The Good Hope Talent Show will be held on January 13th. Auditions for the Talent Show will be December 15th and 16th after school. Come by the Choir Room to get an information sheet and sign up for an audition time.

There are still a few Good Hope Athletic T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Hooded Sweatshirts available. First come, first serve.

HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!


Today is the last day of the can food drive.
As of this morning the leaders were Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Hogg and Mrs. Eley.

Any homeroom class wishing to participate in Adopt-A-Family needs to send a note to Mrs. Moody letting her know. If you are going to go in with another homeroom let her know that as well.

The Lady Colonels soccer team defeated Westridge last night 3-1. Goals were scored by Amy Poindexter, Alison Cooke, and Emily Hemphill.

The winner of the "Turkey Feather" contest is Coach Long. Congratulations to Coach Long!!!!
