The GHMS Pals Organizations is sponsoring the "Box Tops for Education" program for our school. This program is a great way to earn money for our school. Students will be bringing home a flyer that they receive today explaining the program, so start collecting those boxtops.

Today is the kickoff for the St. Jude MATH-A-THON. If you participate, you will not only be helping the children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, but each of you will benefit as well. Return the permission form by Wednesday so the booklets can be ordered. Sign up as many sponsors as you can. Ask your friends, neighbors, parents and relatives to sponsor you; but do not go door to door. The more sponsors you obtain, the more money you will raise to save children's lives. The 6th and 7th grade class to raise the most money will have a pizza celebration.

If you can make it there...you'll make it an unforgettable four days in the worldwide center of urban chic. Stop at the top of the Empire State Building and imagine your name in lights on Broadway. Find America's past at Ellis Island and ponder its future at Ground Zero. Go home carrying a torch in you heart for the city's beloved Statue of Liberty.
