Week of May 2-6
6th Grade English
No DOL Test this week.
We will finish our Tall Tales in class and type
them on Thursday, May 5.
To finish up our school year and complete our
GLE requirements, we will be doing a final project
this year. Students have to come up with a craft
idea (ideas can range from jewelry, toys,
special food, sports items, etc) –
write the idea and/or draw a sketch of the craft.
The craft must be school appropriate.
They will then write a friendly letter to a
friend telling about the craft, and they will write
a business letter to a company trying to sell their craft.
We will have three grades for this project.
(project description, friendly letter, and business letter)
***Bonus points will be given if you bring in a
completed sample of the craft.
** Extra points will be given if your letters are
typed.
These are due by May 16-17.
