Be able to identify sentences, fragments, fused sentences, and comma splices. Be able to correct fused sentences, comma splices, and fragments.

A sentence contains a subject and a verb and expresses a complete thought.
A fragment does not express a complete thought.
A run-on sentence is two or more sentences joined incorrectly.
The two types of run-ons are the comma splice (two or more sentences joined with only a comma) and the fused sentence ( two or more sentences with no punctuation between them).

Know the above definitions to write on the test.

Complete the LEAP writing assignment for homework. This paper is in rough draft form only. You will turn in tomorrow.

Progress Reports
Progress reports and test papers went home today. Many in 6th period did not receive progress reports because the bell caught us. I'll send them tomorrow.
